Edit Panel

 

Purpose: Sets the number of tubes in a panel and allows the editing of tube descriptions.

Overview: Completing the Edit Panel dialog box is one of the first steps in setting up a QuantiCALC protocol. The number ofTubes entered is important in other parts of the program such as Edit Files and Edit Database. Properly labeling the tubes makes it easier to choose tubes in Edit Select Tubes.

 

Panel Description: Editable. Enter text that describes the panel.

Open: Navigate to a previously saved panel, select and click on Open.

Save: Navigate to the folder that stores panels, type in the name of the panel (suffix not included) and click on Save.

Help: Shows this help.

Properties: The Properties button will only be enabled if there is a tube selected. If selected, the description of the tube can be edited. See below for a faster method of editing tube names.

Edit: Also available by double-clicking on a tube item. If there is already a listmode file associated with the tube you will see the Edit Tube dialog box with its five objects. If there is no file name associated with the tube (File Name = "Unknown.fcs"), then you will be presented with a Open Listmode File dialog box. Navigate to the file that is to be associated with the tube and click on Open.

 

Entering descriptions for each tube: Click on the Description label for the first tube. When you see it in the state as shown above, type in the description for the tube. Press either <TAB> to automatically move to the next tube’s description.

 

OK: Closes the dialog box.
