Single-User Starter Pack for Mac & Windows
Installation and Activation

This page describes how to install the components that make up the Single-User Starter Pack. If you need additional assistance, please click here to use the Support Request form. The complete GemStone User Guide is also available online.

If you purchased the downloadable version, extract the components from the download. Each component is used for a different type of installation, described below.

GemStone Client for Mac

Install this component on any Macintosh computer that will be used for GemStone analysis. This software can be installed on any number of Mac computers. It requires battery charges from a Battery Certificate, a Battery Server, or charges purchased separately in order to analyze files.
Extract the GemStone Client Mac Installer into a temporary folder on the Macintosh computer for installation. Then, launch the installer program and follow directions on the screen.

After installation, launch the program and use the Charge Battery command in the Battery menu to redeem your Battery Certificate. The certificate can only be redeemed on one computer.

GemStone Client for Windows

Install this component on any Windows computer that will be used for GemStone analysis. This software can be installed on any number of Windows computers. It requires battery charges from a Battery Certificate, a Battery Server, or charges purchased separately in order to analyze files.
Extract the GemStone Client Windows Installer into a temporary folder on the Windows computer for installation. Then, launch the installer program and follow directions on the screen.

After installation, launch the program and use the Charge Battery command in the Battery menu to redeem your Battery Certificate. The certificate can only be redeemed on one computer.
