Question:

The video preview mentions that GemStone uses a priori information to set up Parameter Profiles. Does that mean that I have to have a priori information about all of the parameters in the FCS file I analyze?

Answer:

Absolutely not!  GemStone uses a priori information to get the analysis started, and it's important to have at least one parameter with well-known behavior for the cells you're analyzing.  But it certainly isn't required to know how all of the parameters behave.

In fact, the real power of GemStone is that it allows you to observe the behavior of new and unknown parameters in your data.
